Associa Mexico is a professional management company with branches in the United States and Canada, but their headquarters is in Cabo San Lucas. About Melissa Eisenman
Having dual citizenship, Melissa Eisenman is both Mexican and American. As she mentions to Nick, she’s lived in a few places internationally. To explain, she’s lived in Columbia, Venezuela, Mexico and of course, the United States – in Florida. Interestingly, Melissa’s grandmother is from Puerto Vallarta in the Mexican State of Jalisco. That means, her mother is Mexican and her father is American.
Melissa has lived in Cabo for three years now. She had started working for Associa Mexico when she first arrived. Also, that’s when she met Nick Fong. So they’ve known each other for three years now. As Nick mentions in the video, Associa Mexico is like saints, as Ronival Property Management works with them regarding the over 100 homes they manage throughout Baja California Sur.
Some information about Associa Mexico
As an independent company, Associa Mexico works with the Board of Directors of the local “Association.” In the United States, that association is called an HOA (Home Owners Association). In Canada, they call it Strata, and in Mexico, it’s called Asociaciones Civiles Nacionales (IACIP). To be specific, they do all of the accounting for the associations.
As an example mentioned by Melissa, when a homeowner within the association’s community pays their monthly or yearly fees, Associa Mexico handles the accounting. Also, they do the monthly reporting and they handle the tax payments for the association. In Los Cabos alone, they handle 39 communities. Then, they handle 20 more communities in Baja California Sur, outside of Cabo.
