In this Q&A with Nick Fong of Ronival Real Estate, Nick discusses these two amazing cities. To begin, Los Cabos is two amazing towns, San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. He calls San Jose del Cabo a traditional Mexican town in Baja California Sur. It has the big church, it has the “art walk” on Thursdays, there’s a lot of culture throughout, great restaurants, and it even has its own fantastic marina.
On the other hand, Cabo San Lucas has the famous arch of Cabo San Lucas, a large marina, many great hotels, and of course the most famous nightlife of any tourist town around the world. And although they have some remarkable differences, they are actually just the same. Both Cabo towns cater to visitors of all sorts. Therefore, continue reading to learn more about these amazing Cabo towns that make up Los Cabos.
About San Jose del Cabo
Located only 30 minutes north of Cabo San Lucas, the town of San Jose del Cabo is a peaceful fishing village along the Sea of Cortez. Unlike its more festive neighbor, Cabo San Lucas, San Jose del Cabo is a charming and sophisticated town. And, it displays an inspirational Spanish-colonial character throughout. For example, the downtown area boasts historic architecture, such as the 18th century Misión de San José del Cabo Anuiti, and the 19th century City Hall, with a courtyard that features images depicting historic Baja-California life from previous eras. Nature lovers enjoy the Wildlife Estuary. And, aficionados of fine art and fine dining love to explore the historic art district, with its chic galleries and upscale restaurants.
About Cabo San Lucas
If you haven’t heard, Cabo San Lucas has it all. From world-famous marlin fishing competitions, to world-renowned golfing, right against the beach, you’ll find the best of everything you’re looking for in a great vacation destination. But, there’s nothing quite like Cabo San Lucas nightlife.
