History behind Nick Fong and Dan Binetti’s friendship
To start out, Nick and Dan talk about how they met and how long they’ve lived in Cabo. At the time of this video, Dan has been in Todos Santos for 17 years and Nick has him beat by one year – 18 years in Cabo. Back then, they both had started in real estate at the same company called Caldwell Banker. Soon after, Nick had started his own brokerage. Then, Nick sold a house that was listed by Dan. That’s how they first met.
Dan Binetti is originally from New Jersey, right across the Washington bridge from New York City. But although he had a great career there and other places around the United States, he loved Mexico and Baja California Sur. Also, he loved fishing, which the area is famous for. Therefore, once he had an opportunity, he quit his job and moved to Todos Santos.
After arriving in Todos Santos, Dan quickly got into real estate and the rest is history. Interestingly though, his first love is fishing. In the video, Dan goes into detail about his fishing talent and experience. But what’s amazing is the fact that he’s in what’s considered the fishing capital of the world. To explain, the biggest fishing tournament takes place there three times every year. Winning payouts head into the millions of dollars.
The magical town of Todos Santos
Established back in 1723 by Father Jaime Bravo, Todos Santos endured eras of both great wealth and famine. Fortunately, now that the farm land there produces abundantly, and tourism is strong and growing, there’s been no greater time to come to Todos Santos.
Todos Santos is a haven for music, art, and film festivals along with being a world-renowned desination for eco-tourism, like the ever-popular exotic bird watching. Also, Todos Santos is a famous destination for being considered a ‘’Pueblo Magico’’. Besides, its pristine virgin beaches, the great number of art galleries, and the countrified vibe of this place put it in one of the top places to visit in Mexico.
Finally, Todos Santos is a community that, besides of having the ideal climate to cultivate mango, coconut, and other exotic fruits, it’s also a place with a great taste for gastronomical arts. And having all kinds of gastronomic adventures with great places to eat, art exhibitions, sales of arts and crafts and even sporting events, this is a one of a kind historic town on its own.
