Two quotes that inspire Nick Fong
As you’ll see in this short video, Nick is inspired by two famous quotes, from two famous people: Bob Marley and Audrey Hepburn. In fact, both of these quotes are written on the walls of Nick’s two children. That reveals just how much these two quotes mean to Nick. He want’s his own kids to be inspired by them too.
The first quote from Bob Marley, which is on his son Rocco’s room.
“Love the life you live and live the life you live love.”
Nick loves this quote because he believes that as long as you’re doing what you love, you’re going to be happy and everything else is just details.
The second quote, from Audrey Hepburn that is on his daughter Sienna’s wall is:
“Nothing is impossible, the mere word itself is I am possible.”
Nick calls this quote “eternally optimistic.” That is why he loves this quote so much. He says that is what he is – just optimistic.
Bruce Lee and bamboo are two sources of inspiration for Nick
Nick states that you should be like bamboo. As he says, when you’re a real estate agent, being like bamboo means being patient. To explain, when bamboo is planted, it sits in the ground for about five years before it grows. Then after those five years, it breaks the surface and grows up to 30 meters in five to six weeks.
When you act like bamboo with new prospects, you must nurture them with great patience. When you do, they will eventually buy from you, the agent who stuck with them and kept in touch. In other words, it always pays off to act like bamboo. You will succeed when you can remain patient and stick with it for the long haul.
Next he shares a quote from Bruce Lee. And when you hear it, you’ll find that it makes perfect sense. This quote can help you succeed throughout many parts of your life. This is what Bruce Lee had stated:
“Be like water.”
When you first see it, this quote may be confuse you. But when you ponder it, you realize that water becomes many things. It doesn’t have any shape. And, it takes the shape of whatever contains it. When you pour water into a glass, visually, it becomes the glass. When it flows in a river, it becomes the river.
You may be gambling with your career in real estate
According to Nick, the first thing that many of us are not doing is we’re not investing in our real estate career. On top of that, we’re not surrounding ourselves with people who will make us smarter and better. As such, we need to surround ourselves with those who will challenge us in our real estate career.
Once Nick returned from a Las Vegas Tom Ferry real estate seminar, Nick had realized he was inspired in an amazing way. In other words, it dawned on him that many of us are gambling with our careers as real estate agents. To explain, we’re doing the things we shouldn’t be doing. And as mentioned, we are not executing those things we must be doing.
How to prevent gambling with your career
In order to follow Nick’s advise, you must stop gambling with your career in real estate. As such, it is time to invest in our career to ensure success. Start by surrounding yourself with winners – those real estate agents that will really make you a better real estate professional.
Like Nick mentions in the video, get a coach and get a mentor. Surround yourself with like-minded real estate professionals that’ll push you in the right direction – real estate agents that will help make you a better real estate professional yourself. Then, listen and learn from the to succeed.

Being a successful real estate broker after applying himself and learning from those who’ve succeeded, he then officially signed up for coaching. After that, his business really took off like a rocket. Therefore, be sure to get someone who will tell you to do this or to not do that.
