Bill Pipes real estate story

After introducing episode one of The Nick Fong PODCAST, Bill Pipes reveals his background and tells his amazing story about success. As he says, it all started with his mom, who was a real estate agent when Bill was young. At that time, Bill watched his mom struggle and ultimately fail at real estate. She had to go back to being a Paralegal. Bill simply wanted to understand why.

Having watched his mom work very hard, reading books and listening to audio tapes to gain knowledge and ideas, Bill says that nothing seemed to work. And that’s when something clicked. Bill decided to figure out what makes people successful so he could help prevent others from suffering failure.

Years later, Bill met a man named Mike Ferry, who Bill calls the Godfather of real estate training. While Bill was in a PhD program to become a Literary Professor, Mike revealed his interest in training Bill in real estate. Mike Ferry told him that he wanted to teach him how to be successful. At that moment, Bill realized that was exactly what he was looking for.

Real estate tips and tricks from Bill Pipes

One of the biggest tips for new agents provided by Bill Pipes is to surround yourself with people who are doing more than you. Take them to lunch, and glean all that you can from their knowledge and experience. They will have insight that can truly correct and enhance what you are currently doing as you grow and become successful.

According to Bill, success comes from looking for patterns and keeping an “always learning” mindset. Bill defines that mindset as being humble and always trying to learn more – stay hungry. Then, look for patterns. Success really does leave clues. If you carefully watch and learn, you will see patterns for success and patterns for failure. Therefore, take note of these patterns that you see.

Get a mentor and a coach for guidance

Although Nick Fong was already successful as a real estate broker, when he signed up for coaching, his business took off like a rocket. As Bill Pipes mentions frequently, make sure you get someone that will tell you to do this or to not do that. When your steps are guided by a mentor and a coach, their insight will keep you on the right path to success – you can avoid the mistakes that they had made.
